Finally UIC use also the Operation Lifesaver logo
created on a collaborative basis by Operation
Lifesaver Estonia on all ILCAD posters helping the
campaign to take momentum in many other ways.
In the name of UIC, ELCF (European Level Crossing
Forum) and ILCAD partners, Isabelle Fonverne,
ILCAD Coordinator would like to thank again the
indefectible support from Operation Lifesaver
Estonia, namely Mr. Tamo Vahemets and his
homologues worldwide.
ILCAD could not have met this increasing success
worldwide without the support from OL and all
other partners involved in this wonderful human
adventure.
The next edition of ILCAD will take place on 7 May
during the 2nd Global UN Road Safety Week (6-
12 May 2013) worldwide. An international press
conference, a round table with experts from different
sectors, institutions and an exhibition dedicated only
to ILCAD will be hosted by the United Nations in
Geneva on 7 May. All ILCAD partners (including OL),
ELCF members, UIC members (227), UN members
states (56), ERA, EC, the Swiss Federal Office of
Transport will be invited by UIC and the UN-ECE to
take part in this event by making a presentation, or
being in the audience.
The exhibition will gather children’s drawings
participating in the 3rd UIC/ILCAD drawing contest
2013, ILCAD posters (from UIC or ILCAD partners).
We hope that the 5th edition of ILCAD will gain new
countries: Kenya, Nigeria and Mongolia have already
announced their participation.
We wish good luck to all ILCAD partners and hope to
continue our fruitful collaboration with OL Estonia
because OL actions are essential to improve safety
at level crossings, decrease the number of collisions
and save lives!
