the consistency of the legal environment with the
modern technological solutions and ensure safety
also after the major changes brought about by the
introduction of the new trains and possible increase
of allowed train driving speeds.
The new passenger trains will come to Estonian
railway lines in summer 2013. The habitual
environment will change considerably for both
passengers and people living nearby railways, as
the new trains make less noise, they are faster, more
comfortable and have a different design. From the
safety point of view all of that requires from people
even more attentiveness and following the traffic
regulations. In order to prepare the passengers and
road users, the Technical Surveillance Authority will
cooperate in 2013 with OLE and Elektriraudtee AS
to inform all the target groups and get them ready
for the arrival of the new trains.
